Social media is emerging and it already started to replace old as well as relatively new technologies. Twitter is the revolution in social media and many new applications are either using twitter API or following twitrology.Rss or Really Simple Syndication is the production of Web 2.0, they were design to keep user updated on latest happening of the website or blog, but its too not safe from twitter. If you can follow your favorite blogs and websites updates on Twitter, why you need a RSS reader?? Ali - you do realize that the population of Twitter users is still just a small fraction of those who blog right? Twitter users are the earliest adopters, but I think you lose a big audience if you just focus on Twitter. RSS feeds are still going to be mighty important. Take a look at the similarly fast growth of FriendFeed - it’s essentially an aggregator of feeds. Because FriendFeed takes Twitter feeds as well as many other web services, I think FriendFeed is the kind of service your alluding to.
Thanks Allan For your such a nice comment, i know there are few people who use Twitter as compare to those who blog but still I believe Twitter will spread in upcoming years like no other social media app and I like friendfeed but friendfeeding looks very mechanical to me..very little chat and loads of links…
